In Playa Blanca there is more than 10 km of cost, where there are different areas suitable for the bath, as well as several beaches .
Starting from the west , 2 km distance. from the center of Playa Blanca, there is Flamingo beach. This is an artificial beach, of around 300 metres , with white sand, not dangerous at all. It has deck chairs, sunshade and rent of pedal skates. You can also find supermarkets and different terrace.
Right on the center of Playa Blanca there is the real beach. It is small and a bit noisy next to the promenade, sourronded by restaurants, terraces and with the permanent Ferrys arriving from Fuerteventura. Nevertheless it is protected by security markes and it is not allow to enter vessels to the seashore.
One km. from the center to the east, you can find Dorada Beach, artificial sandy beach of 400 m., just in front of two Hotels Princesa Yaiza 5* and Hesperia Playa Dorada 4*.
There are threecafes with nice terraces, deck chairs and sunshade .There are plenty of sea activities you can enjoy, such as renting sailing-boat , aquatic motos , pedals skates, get on the banana. It is a very safe beach, recommended for familys with childrens. And close to the beach there is a commercial center with bars, restaurants and supermarket.
Coloradas beach is located in a residencial area which takes this name. It is a natural beach of 500 m. long. Actually it is a stony beach, with black and white sand. There are deck chairs, although there are not any café or bar yet. At the moment there is a 4* hotel Papagayo Arena, and they are just finishing the works of a 5* hotel, Coloradas Almena. Therefore , we advise you not to use this beach until may 2006.
Papagayo Beaches are the best ones of Lanzarote. To get there by car, you will have to pay 3 Euros, and by bicycle, walking or being a resident is free . There are severals white sandy beaches, with diferents facing. It is one of the best landscape of the island, It is a natural place. We recommend you to take solar protection and something to drink, as there is only a small bar and the beach area is very long. There is a naked area. The beaches arequiet except in July and August.
